Versace tie ranks.

I recently bought a very flashy, and baroque Versace tie in scrolls, medusas, and etc. The tag on the back states Gianni Versace Couture with black, and gold borders. What is the rank of this? Thanks.

If the background colour is black, then it is the top line of Gianni Versace for men. Atelier Versace no longer exists for men, unless you have a custom order for a silk shirt; however, the workshop is still there (for example, on the top floor of the Versace building on 5th Avenue), but used mainly for women's couture dresses.

However, from what you are describing (baroque and medusas) the tie might be from quite a few seasons ago. Donatella is trying to make us forget his brother by introducing some of her own motifs (like DV instead of GV). Without more information, I'd say your tie was made between 1998 to 2001. (A white label was used pre-1998.)

Hi,

The tag is black with a gold border, and Gianni Versace. And the tie ielf is kind of wider than an Hermes tie; the pattern is a royale purple with gold baoque scrolls with a medusa face in the middle of a large baroque architectual-like entity.

Also for the Versus line. When in belts for example the names are printed in white with a Gianni Versace signature under a Versus what is the age of that as compared to when Versus is actually engraved over just a plain Versace?
