They sell this **** at Kohl's and I've always wondered who wore such things. I mean, pleated Jeans? And they're always in that really light blue soft denim that only old men seem to wear, so maybe that's the answer to my question?

People forget that fashion is art. Not everything people wear is intended to give the impression that they are a sharp dressed man on the job hunt.

He is wearing something unwearable. Thats the point. Its about the basic elements of form, line, shape, etc.

The only time I haev seen pleated denim was on a womens pair of jeans, you know those mom pants jeans. I ahev never however seen them on a man before. I am all for pleats but they do not belong on casual pants such as jeans.

Say what you will but I don't see anything wrong with wearing a tailored pant made from a lightweight denim. If it has pleats, so what?

I saw some Rag & Bone single pleated denim at NM recently.
Not too surprisingly they were on the sale rack and there was a full size run available.

I have to +1 this. Even though it's a look I would never go near, it's also a look few men could pull off.

I see this look being big in Japan.

Jeans are so ubiquitous, such a bland uniform for people who don't care about clothes; I like the idea of playing around with them, of making denim pants that are sort of anti-jeans: pleats, slash pockets, cuffs, creased, tab closure...

I have a hard time with pleats in general, so I'm not sure I would go the pleated jeans route. However, I can imagine a pair of slim-cut denim pants with slash or on seam pockets, medium rise with side adjustors (mop buttons) and no belt loops...tapered to a narrow opening with 2 inch cuffs, SF uniform style.

If you buy trousers from Anderson & Sheppard, you're pretty much committed to pleats.
