I came across some very cheap To Boot New York shoes at Neiman Marcus Last Call. The pair I got was marked down heavily to $35 or so (also got 2 isaia Sport coats for around $220 each!). I am relatively new to this forum and have found out a lot about good quality shoes and now own a few nice shoes from John Lobb, Vass, C&J, Edward Green etc, and find them very well made. I am interested to know how are To Boot NewYork shoes regarded here, and who makes them..

They are all made in Italy, not sure of the house who makes them.

Their pricepoint is usually 300-700$, good bang for the buck on discount, for $35 I wouldn't hesitate to pick them up. wouldn't compare it to EG c&j since very diff price point/market.

I sold some on here about 6 months ago that were awesome. If you care you can probably check my post history for them but I don't feel like it. They are made by different manufacturers and there is no consistency. I can't tell you to buy them without seeing them because you may be buying a very ****** pair of shoes. Either post pictures or use your own judgment.

I sold a new pair a month ago (more or less). They look really good and the construction seems OK. Not goodyear welt, maybe blake rapid. The leather seems of good quality. Made in Italy.

I sold em only because they were too large, so I cannot comment of the durability. I purchased'em online and the size 9 turns out to be better fitted for an US 10

Hello, first post here.

I purchased a pair of To Boot shoes at Nordstrom a few months ago, but I had to return them within a week or two because the lining in the footbed on the inside of the shoe (what is the term for this?) began to come unglued.

Accordingly I would not recommend this brand.

First Post as well

same exact problem as above, I got a pair from Nordstrom Rack around $130, after wearing it twice the insides started getting unglued.

I've had a pair of boots and a pair of bals. The quality on the bals is good, and the boots have held up well for 3 years.

I like the flexibility of them, and they seem to be blake constructed.

Mixed bag for me, I have a pair on now that have rubber soles and the same problem with the glue in the footbed. I have a few other pair that have performed well and are very comfortable. There is little consistency between styles for this brand.

I actually picked up a pair that they cut the insoles out of, and they work surprisingly well (nordstrom rack, $40). That said, I have two pairs -- black and brown. They've both held up pretty well with regular cleaning/polishing. I'd recommend for the price, esp if you prefer a sleeker cut.

I have one pair of rubber-soled bluchers circa 2002 that have been through dozens of rainstorms and abusive 3-mile walks and still look fantastic.

I also have a pair of leather-soled oxfords circa 2008 that are creased and fragile after 18 months of babying.

I just bought a pair of To Boot sandals at the Saks outlet for around $26. Not bad. I think retail is around $200 which is just silly. Can't comment on their shoes though.

Avoid. Marginal quality. Price is for the style not quality. Regretted a previous purchase a month later.

I purchased a couple of pairs about 3-4 years ago from Bergdorf Goodman that are made by Peluso Napoli. Since To Boots uses so many different manufacturers, there is absolutely no consistency in quality. Bottomline, To Boots is not a shoe manufacturer!!
