I really like the look of this new designer, Tim Hamilton.

Anyone try his stuff out yet?

Where do they sell it?

I believe that in New York, you can find his stuff at Bergdorf in midtown and Jeffrey in the meatpacking district.

They have some pieces at shopjake.com. They are nice, but far to expensive for a starving student.

Anyone know about the sizing on a Tim Hamilton shirt?

Is it meant to be worn untucked or tucked in? If I wear a large in a Band of Outsiders shirt but a medium in Steven Alan, which would I take here?

The stuff is good but really overpriced for what essentially is elevated j crew. I found the fit of a size L cardigan that I tried on too small as well. They sell his stuff at douglas fir in LA where they had a really casual jacket in the shape of a blazer which was about 850.

im not so much into jcrew or polo , but i liked those runway shoots, which have rubbed off a bit on me. its like... 're-american' style.

Well, we've got similar styles though yours is a little more pronounced than mine, but I like the classic American styling that he creates. Not surprisingly, that's how much of the industry text describes his design work as well.

J. Crew stuff and Polo fit me the same: they pretty much don't fit. I need something in between a small and medium in both and it doesn't exist.

But if anyone could equate the Hamilton sizing that'd be great.

assignment reads: "Fashion trends are often influenced by designers.
Assess the influence upon recent fashion trends of a named designer of

I have two Tim Hamilton shirts. Very nice fits. I wear a medium in most brands, polo, eg, etc and wear a medium in Tim hamilton. the shirts that I own were obviously meant to be worn untucked.

To make an actual contribution to this thread, I have a red Tim Hamilton chambray. A really beautiful light red, really thick (I think) MOP buttons, solid construction all around. One of the few shirts marked XS that is correctly marked. The hem and sleeve length are both cropped a bit shorter and the only thing I wish is that the waist area of the shirt was slimmed down to account for drop from the chest.

It's really one of the most classic looking pieces I own but updated with a roll sleeve button and epaulets. Love it.

Nicer, (much) more expensive J.Crew. If you are poor, then don't bother, but nice if you can get it. Incidently, he used to work for J.Crew and RL. Shirts I have seen are meant to be worn untucked. Sizing is slimmer than Crew, closer to BoO.
