Which are the most recommended knots for the office? I usually stick to the Half Windsor but do also use the Full Windsor on a couple of ties that are too long for my 65-inch height. On pre-weekend Thursdays (which is equivalent to Fridays in the west), I sometimes go with the 4-in-hand or Prince Albert knot.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Unless you are very portly and/or have a very large head, I suspect a full Windsor is too big for you. It is for most people. If tie length gives you trouble, you might look into custom ties, such as those from Sam Hober, so that you can get something perfectly sized for you and the knot of your choice.

I alternate between 4IH and HW myself. With 4IH, my back blade is often a little longer than the front, wider blade. This isn't something I mind much, though. You might; I know many do.

Small-sized bald head and a portly 79 kg. I too find the full Windsor too big unless the tie material is thin and satin-like.

It's probably because I'm middle-aged and dated in my ways but I definitely wouldn't like my tie's back blade either longer than the front, or flapping around loose at a visible angle from the front blade :)

Well, you wouldn't be the first fellow to tuck the too long narrow end into his trousers' waistband. Look into Sam Hober (the cheapest bespoke option. Also one of the best).
