Hi all. I’d love to hear your suggestions for a tie and pocket square to go with this jacket. I’m thinking a light blue Oxford shirt...?

I should also mention that I’m not a big spender so I’ll probably be looking at The Tie Bar or something.

Thanks,

A patterned tweed fabric like this is pretty casual/rustic. So you want to avoid ties on the formal end of the scale, either in fabric or in pattern. Smooth or shiny ties are out. If you're going to go with a pattern, go with a large-scale pattern as small scale patterns will be too similar to the scale on the jacket. A large block stripe might work, for example. Personally I'd go with a highly textured mostly solid color like a rust wool donegal.

I'd suggest not wearing a pocket square with this jacket. It will be very difficult to get right. You can't go with the safe choice of a white linen square -- too formal.
