Sadly, the last concert I attended pre-covid was one I was invited to at the Troubadour.
The band?

This morning we had a staff meeting about the protocols for when we go to Hybrid learning. I asked if we could temporarily lift the "no tape on the floor" policy, to give students defined areas of where they should be and not be in the classroom. My request was denied. Fuck that shit. Everywhere you go there are markings to let adults know where to be, why can we not do the same for kids who are even more oblivious to their surroundings? In the millions of dollars we've gotten to aide in reopening, can we not get a roll of carpet safe tape for each class? Or, in the alternative, can we just maybe, not prioritize the appearance of the dingy-ass 1994 carpet over health and safety?

I ushered at The Warfield in SF for a few years in the 90s, saw dozens of killer shows, gratis:

Johnny Winter, Public Enemy, Suicidal Tendencies, different permutations of CSN/Y, Jerry Garcia Band, but the concert that really sticks out in memory was Spinal Tap, on their “Break Like the Wind Tour”.
Man, I wonder if we crossed paths there. I was just a country boy from the sticks but when I learned to drive and got a beater (or my friends did) we used to bomb down to the City for shows/clothes/music/action. I saw a ton of great shows at the Warfield. I think the Haloween Cramps shows were my favorite.

Back in the 90s I saw Susan Tedeschi, Jimmie Vaughan, Buddy Guy, and John Lee Hooker all perform together in Austin.
