I not only saw new kids on the block but also reel big fish and jurassic 5Bro, I saw not only Duran, Duran but Nirvana and Kyuss. Come at my Gen X creds.
Man, I wonder if we crossed paths there. I was just a country boy from the sticks but when I learned to drive and got a beater (or my friends did) we used to bomb down to the City for shows/clothes/music/action. I saw a ton of great shows at the Warfield. I think the Haloween Cramps shows were my favorite.I ushered at The Warfield in SF for a few years in the 90s, saw dozens of killer shows, gratis:
Johnny Winter, Public Enemy, Suicidal Tendencies, different permutations of CSN/Y, Jerry Garcia Band, but the concert that really sticks out in memory was Spinal Tap, on their “Break Like the Wind Tour”.
Suicidal Tendencies
Sadly, the last concert I attended pre-covid was one I was invited to at the Troubadour.
The band?
Poco
R. Kelly is that youIll piss on you
