That coat looks pretty great. Not feeling the sweater/pants color combo underneath it though or really anything about the pants at all, and the boot tuck is just weird.

I'm up for suggestions re colour combo. I'll try to post a fit more suited to an overcoat. I know what you mean Caveat. It was for new year's night, and I really wanted comfortable shoes, so didn't go for boots. Plus funnily enough, those Anns are way more hard-wearing than my heavy boots.

i wore the exact same shoes on NYE - but i wore shiny silver pants and a bowtie with them

I like the colors of the top block, just get a darker shade (darker than the coat) for the pants imo. Would solve the break where the pants meet the shoes too which I think is strange b/c of the contrast.
