lots of brands are not cut for my body size. MC and SWD brands. its ******* annoying as hell and i have learned to avoid those brands. i mean, yeah, ill play around with brands and different cuts, but there are certainly some items, and brands, that are just not cut for me. it is what it is.

Hence i avoid all Japanese brands but am always in envy of others that can fit into them.

When Hammer pants make their eventual comeback this story will take a dramatic twist.

:)

I love me some hammer pants....

I actually saw hammer live in 2006, he was trying out some new style rap. Then i met him in 2012 at a company party and he was a super nice guy. Kick ass dj too...

no I said one specific designer has obvious limitations to his designs which is the center of any conversation about him since forever.

this might be shocking, but not all clothes are cut for everyone. this is not a larger commentary on dressing in a particular way for a certain bodytype. some brands are cut more universally or more forgiving (or less particular). margiela, for example, fits differently than ervell. this is not a value judgement.

I gotta agree with Teger on this one. Some brands are not universally-cut. Dior Homme is a good example of a brand-built-for-a-particular-body-type, especially Hedi Slimane era. I remember Chanel's Karl Lagerfeld once said he love the Hedi's silhouette so much he had to lose weight, go on a diet to adopt that look. Of course Dior Homme items can be found in sizes XL or above, but I think it's more for commercial reasons rather than 'universal fashion appeal'. Personnally when l read Dior Homme, a skinny man comes to my mind. Not sure if a guy above 200 pounds could look as good on those skinny suits. Now we may argue whether it's some kind of discrimination (like Abercrombie's founder said his clothes were not to be worn by fat people) or just a part of the brand/designer's universe... It's another debate... But I definitely think some brands (or at least some of their collections) are not made for all body types, on purpose.

As always, suggestion and comments more than welcome.
Honestly, I like everything save the shirt, which to me looks a bit too crisp. From what I can see, it looks like a poplin? I think that with this type of outfit, you want a fabric that is more textural. Disagree about the pants looking unflattering. I personally think that they look fine.

^^Thanks. I should have pulled the damn pants up before taking the pic. They really don't sit that far down on my frame normally.

Wearing them here at home I pulled them up where they should be and the stacks kind of vanished (for the most part). Still long but I can live with that.

I appreciate your feedback.

I like it. Maybe more casual shoes would work a little better but it's not bad.
