I would prefer this with wool trousers. Top half is too sharp for wrinkly grey denim. Looks off to my eyes

I dunno, wool gabardine (i think?) + a turtleneck seems pretty formal to me. I think fabrics speak louder than cuts/styles if that makes sense

I'd agree but I really don't think this is wool gabardine, this looks less formal to me and I think the jeans work well in this context. With that said, would still like to see it with a pair of semi-relaxed wool pants.

It's 100% cotton, but I get what you're saying. The jacket, to me, is really quite casual in real life
