Well, here in Montreal there is a film festival currently going on at Excentris. There is a film triology by Peter Greenaway called the Tulse Luper Suitcases... it follows the life of a man in 9 hours of film (3 different shows) who chronicled his life as a prisoner throughout the 20th century and many key events through filling suitcases with objects that ultimately represent the 20th century... there are 92 suitcases, the atomic number of Uranium which arguably is a very strong component of 20th century history. It's shot digitally so the quality absolutely astounded me. Greenaway who introduced every showing, said that people were asking him to "bring back the grain". It is probably the most unique cinema I have ever been to. Triple screens, multiple stories being told at once (literally 2 or 3 at a time at some points), and some of the most breathtaking cinematography I've ever seen. Really, go see this. www.tulseluperjourney.com www.tulselupernetwork.com
