Beautiful BB, I love the color of these. What is it again?

Calvaldos, which I have no other experience with. Have Natty and darker brown well covered so wanted something with a little more brown than natty.

*Second wear and finding the fit perfect this morn.
Still recall my first Ivan spotting, really appreciate your posts. :)

Yes, Horween. I am tempted by the current offering but likely will wait and see.
$725 seems like a great price though!

I’m not sure I’m willing to give that for non Horween Shell. But I can see the appeal. Like you, I’ll take the wait and see approach.

The Comipel shell Grant Stone used on their Cognac PTB's is damn nice. Have heard Shiniki and others are a bit touchier about water, etc. but I'm really happy with my pair and have worn them a lot.

I was hesitant to go non-horween shell but would concur with M635Guy's assessment. I sold my GS's due to fit but there was no compromise on quality and the color was incredible.

Hey @M635Guy , that's some pretty cool denim in that pic. Willing to share some det's?

For the first few wears, before I put them on I wipe my shoes down with a lightly damp cloth, wipe excess water off then brush when dry.

It softens up the cordovan and makes it easier to break in.

Thanks for the advice, will try it next time.

Love the color of the classic RL Marlows! I have a GMTO version from a few years ago straight from C&J which is their dark brown Cordovan, but the traditional Marlow has a more reddish or chestnut hue without looking like color 8. Truly a unique color.

Agreed. I like these better than the new RL version that are darker.

Beautiful color!

Agree they do look fantastic! So, Horween is not the only shell in town, aye?

Curious (for a friend)
When does AE's shell sale end?
