I am surprised I like those rawhide laces as much as I do, given the refined boot with that incomparable shaved shell.
Maybe it is because the light exposed edges of the rawhide accent the natural welt.
Anyway, they look great. And make it a less “girlie” Dalton to boot! ;)
Thank you Sir! That's exactly what I thought. It all flows so nicely with the natural split welt on the boots.

Thought I should share in this thread.

I've posted a GMTO proposal for a pair of C&J Westfield semi brogues in Whiskey Shell. Given their price, rarity of the shell and finishing quality of C&J I think it's a good deal. 2 people to be added to get this going.

This model with some slight tweaks, different medallion, JR sole and the color offcourse...
