Think about the harm you've done. You also hurt me, but I don't read about that keeping you awake at night. Even though we later kissed and made up.

this thread reminds me of the perils of burgundy

I laid out 6 pairs of shoes/boots in front of my wife and asked her to tell me what color she thought they were. The last pair was the focal pair, as the color is perilously close to brown which I dont want it to be.

so she runs off the colors:
-burgundy
-burgundy
-burgundy
-burgundy
-burgundy

and the last one, the important one.

-ummm, looks like dark brown.

disappointed, I ask "are you sure it doesnt look burgundy" and finally she submits with a halfhearted "yea i guess they look like a brownish burgundy"

meh

Yes, but you won't have to miss my ostentatious penitence, as it is on display virtually every day.

Lucky you!

You didn't miss much. Manton is just being melodramatic. Jon was being his obnoxious self and many of us made fun of his posts by imitating his inane logic and attitude. He was sort of ganged up on but Manton was one of many others so he's just being a guilt-ridden wussy. The guy logged on just a few days ago. If he wants to post again, he will; no one is stopping him.
