So it seems. I'm going to visit a nearby cobbler soon. Minor problem is that I'm living in Spain for a year and my vocab. is a bit missing in the shoe section hahah

Went to a cobbler recommended by a friend. He seems to understand what I meant, and he will use some thin rubber vibram soles on the heel and and rest! Will get them back by friday evening.

Well, the thin vibram he installed are allright, but he sanded down the sides and now they've lost the blue-ish shade they once had. ****

got a pair of reverse calf guidi side zips for winter. I gotta say I'm really coming round to guidi. The standard last is still not my favorite, but the leather and construction quality for price and comfort really hit a sweet spot in the artisanal market.

question: should reverse calf be treated with suede water protectant spray?

and a psa for those for don't go to b&s (who does): https://www.styleforum.net/buyandse...rakami-derbies-asymmetric-sole-5-42-43.12511/
parting with some sweet taichi derbies because they really are a size big for me and on the heavier side

Guidi Offers a lot of different footwear. over the last several Years they have been doing more structured ones. i think these are rally great and somewhat better than earlier iterations. they also have had the input
of Alessio Zero on some stuff which makes a big difference

I love the less structured boots and shoes, but I suppose that that's just a matter of tastes. I've never been a fan of the more bulbous, upturned toes, which I realize is a anomaly here, like liking Hugo Boss over in CM.
