bal boots wouldn't have speed hooks.

maybe traditionally but that's far from the case now

it is impossible for a bal boot to have speedhooks i would think...
it wouldn't make sense structurally

Looks like someone wasn't wearing their hairnet when they finished that pair! Me? I'd live with it (and maybe rant a little about Alden QC :D)

Yep. Too much human work from manufacturer's side ended up with a blemish! #firstworldproblem :embar:

that is a hair that got mixed in with the colorer and finish that alden puts on the shoes. find an area where it can be lifted, pull it off (this should be easy) and then brush the finish smooth.
its no biggie. plus with the rare shell/rare models, you kind of have to take the good with the bad.

Relevant user name? haha.

That's what I thought, although I thought only men worked at the dirty part of Horween Tannerary (from the documentaries that I watched :D )

I am looking at the bump real closely, and the coat is thorough; without making a ****, pulling out the hair would not be possible. Would you suggest doing this, or should I contact J Gilbert about this?

Thanks for response

i would just do it, because no matter how deep it is in the finish, its can't penetrate the shell itself.
also, I've put deepish scratches into shell and been amazed at how easily they brush out.

Really?

I'm always able to get the color to even back out, but the indentation always remains. Are you saying you are able to get the indentation to brush out?
