I just want to thank all of you flat fronters for showing those pleat-wearing-sobs who's boss.

I've always wondered what's the point of double pleats? Why have two backwards pleats on both sides when single forward pleats are so much more sleek, flattering, minimal, not to say masculine (multiple pleats being overly evocative of dresses, skirts, the realm of womenswear in general), and would be perfectly sufficient in lending that extra room that pleats are meant to provide when sitting?

Single forward pleats, or flat front. Either/or, nothing else!

A question for all those Flat Front wearers:

My suits all have pleats and I wear the pants on my natural waist. With Flat-Fronts do you wear them on your natural waist or down lower on your hips?

Contrary to whatever Internet-conceived BS style myths you might hear: you can wear flat-fronts whichever way you like. On the waist is usually a little more comfy and keeps your shirt in place easier; on the hips will extend your torso and sometimes looks better with an unbuttoned jacket. Flat-front on the waist, with cuffs, is pre-1925; flat-front on the hips with plain bottoms is 60s/70s. I have flat-fronts in both styles.

Yeah, naturally I meant they can be constructed either way; I didn't mean they can be worn either way at the wearer's discretion...
