I have answered some questions from SF members by PM. Some responses have received thanks, some not. I would be miffed if I received no thanks from a SF regular, because I hold those folks to a higher standard of courtesy to other members. As far as I can remember, that has not happened yet.
No regular member has ever not thanked me. (Grammar police, if you'd like to point out my use of a double-negative, now would be the time.) Those who have not thanked me have all had low post counts.

Perhaps, a trip to Farinellis for a surprise gift of button fly jeans for the lady is in order this weekend.
The absence of thanks from low-post-count members doesn't bother me. I figure those folks reflect the values of society at large and not of SF.
