I'm going through the early stages of a much needed 'rationalization' in my clothing. I bought a lot of stuff at the beginning, and after a period of 'maturation' during which I finally realized what my size is (and how much I can get away with), what styles are completely out of date (more likely to happen with my acquisitions of 'designer' labels eg Versace) etc etc, what colours/patterns suit me etc - so now I have a stack of clothing. More than I'll ever 'need' of course, but more importantly, also some I'll never wear (for the above reasons).

Enough introduction. First up are loafers and other assorted shoes. I've realised that I'm not really a 'loafer' sort of guy. So I was thinking of putting them on the B&S forum - various brands including AE, SF (including Studio), Bally etc. Individually they won't be 'worth' that much and shipping from Hong Kong will be a fair amount. I'm just looking to get rid of them, and pass them onto others who will wear them/appreciate them more than I do. And I can get some space back

Jackets etc I won't bother with and give directly to charities here.

So the proposal, I'll put my loafers on the B&S forum on the following basis: 25 usd or so to cover shipping, with discretionary additional amounts that I will pass onto styleforum funds. I'll also pass on anything left over after shipping costs. I'll try to post a few photographs but it's a pain to upload to the hosting sites, but I can email more to any interested parties. I'll even throw in the pair of plastic shoe trees that is in each pair now. Oh and the other thing, I can't always get to the post office so the one 'condition' is that the buyer accepts that there may be a couple of weeks before I get the chance to ship.

Before I start all this, what is the interest level please?

It's hard to test interest without telling the size of the shoes and providing pix.

The size is easy, but posting photos is not much harder.

Try uploading the whole batch to some online album service, like google pix or ofoto.com, then provide the link in your listing. This is much faster than indivually hosting each pic.

I wonder if it might be easier/better/cheaper to send the whole batch over to a proxy here who could run the sales and shipping for you. I'm sure someone might be interested for a cut.

FWIW, I've been using a hosting site called imagevenue.com. You can load ten pics at a time. Still takes a while, but it's so much faster and easier to use than imageshack ever was for me.

I'm in between projects, have a camera, and am *fairly* honest. j/k

I'll be a proxy, especially if we can do another SF auction type of thingy.
