I have some Ben Davis pants I want to have tapered. Anyone know the best way to go about this? Just along the inseam? Outseam? Both? A friend of mine used to do this back in the day, and they looked really good, but he's not around anymore for me to ask him.

I know you Mod/Skin types out there have experience with this. So help me out!

use both the inseam and the outseam.
this will keep the pant in balance.

I'm also interested in this question of tailoring Ben Davis or Dickies pants, or finding a slack or pant that is slimmer than the fits they have for their work pants, but in the same style. I've seen people wearing them from time to time - kind of a uniform pant but that can be worn casually or with a shirt of some sort.

Given the low price for workwear such as Dickies and Ben Davis, I don't think it would be even worth it for alterations!

FYR - The June Men's Non-no has a layout on Vintage workwear with the above mentioned brands. Early 90s nostalgia for me. Full Ben Davis workwear suits, chain wallets and graffitti markers. Being young and dumb was so fun.
