^ take a picture. As far as I know N(N) under Takahiro had three different labels, sometimes all occurring in the same season:

1. The recognizable black label with white border, with 'number (n)ine,' New York, Tokyo etc. in handwritten text.
2. A very thin silver label with NUMBER (N)INE in all caps in a monospaced typeface in white. If I recall correctly, this label was more common on the older pieces, and is also found in the denim.
3. An all black label, with slightly lighter black text stitched on in a flower, Victorian-style typeface. I think this is present on some of the suiting, and I also think it's more common after 2008, which is where I've seen it more often.

I can't remember what the new labels look like, but you can probably find some pictures on YJP!

Here is what it looks like. Thanks for your input. I'll also look through Y! JP to see if I can find info

That's the care tag, not the label. Is that a t-shirt? I haven't owned any n(n) t-shirts so I don't know what the tags look like, and it makes sense that it wouldn't have the larger label. For what it's worth my tags don't look like that -- they have the season, composition, and ID code.

It's a sweater. That's the only tag I can find on this and it's on the front, it it has care information. I have other pieces that have the bkack tag with the white outlining, and I've seen the tags of some of the post-2011 stuff but this one I can't find any info on it. Plus this one doesn't have a code or ID

Also bought a t-shirt:

It's literally an American Apparel tee with a print on it. Fortunately it was cheap.

And a book:

@VitaTimH is that Soloist book worth getting? Been tempted to bid on one.

Have an ombre plaid pullover shirt from 14ss hopefully showing up in the next day or two : )

^ Not worth it except to fulfill your collector's tendencies, I think. There's very little in ways of actual content. Mostly photos from a desert photoshoot of SS15 or FW14, can't remember which at the moment, and honestly the photography isn't anything special. I flipped through the BBS book a few weeks ago and the content it contains completely blows this out of the water, I'd totally buy that one if I were a fan of BBS at all for example.

Anyone know where I can buy this? They are sold out everywhere even in the secondary market.

Really enjoying the cooler weather we've been getting up here so far. This is actually my first time experiencing a summer that isn't deathly hot or humid :)

number (n)ine x2
ervell
yuketen

The coat's a bit tight (mainly in the biceps and chest), but it's so crazy awesome I really don't want to let it go. Is it visibly too tight? It buttons up fine, however. Also, I feel like I need cool necklaces or something

xpost from waywt. Jacket is from SS07, sweatshirt is from FW09.

It always tickles my brain to try to trace the development of ideas in Miyashita's work. The paneling of this coat is actually very, very similar to the switching designs of FW05 (The High Streets).

1000

Namely, the sleeves and the lower half of the coat are comprised of one fabric (a nappy 55/45 cotton/silk blend), while the body is comprised of another (100% suiting wool). People rightfully comment that number (n)ine's surface aesthetics haphazardly fluctuate from season to season, but the underlying construction shares lots of similarities. Also, I love the typical Miyashita detailing -- musical note lining in cotton and silk, the gloriously excessive sleeve buttons, etc.

The sweatshirt, meanwhile, displays the extraneous decorative gusseting that's found on a lot of SoloIst. pieces, especially from the earlier seasons. Nerd chills. Top: SoloIst., FW11. Bottom: number (n)ine, FW09.

1000

The fabric, which is an 80/20 cotton/silk blend, is also highly similar to the dry, rough cotton that's being used in recent season's sweatshirts and sweatpants. Personally, I find this silk blend much nicer, as it's very smooth.
