Dear Folks: A large list this week with a focus on conservative clothing for business and less formal occasions. Suits include another gray flannel, and a chalkstriped flannel DB, both for BB. Sport coats include tweeds and plaids from Paul Stuart, J. Press, Polo, and Carroll & Co, the Beverly Hills trad outpost. Shirts run the gamut from Thomas Pink and Tyrwhitt to Barneys, Neiman Marcus, Ascot Chang, agnes b styled Emilie Lafaurie, Turnbull & Asser in a rare wool fabric, and even Charvet. There are many fine ties as well, from BB, Boss, and other makers. My new shipping policy is that the second tie ships for no additional charge. More casual and unusal items include the streetwear-narrow ties, the Comme des Garcons sweater shirt, and a duck pattnered surcingle belt I bought in Paris 25 years ago. Its length no longer reaches around my waist, alas. Lastly, there are two striped cotton shirts made for Bloomingdales nearly 40 years ago. The colorways of the stripes are sensational, and the fabric is as you would find in a 150 or 200 dollar shirt today. The collar style is still contemporary. If they were my size, they wouldn’t be at auction! Starting bids are low. The Charvet shirt started at less than a dollar. There is no reserve on any item.
