Which are your favourites, and what do you take them for? To clarify, I don't really care to hear too much of "I take a multivitamin to cover my bases". I'm more concerned about hearing about supps you take that give noticeable differences in how you feel.

Here's what I like:

whey - needs no explanation

soy lecithin granules - mental and sexual

zinc gluconate - sexual

spirulina - all around energy

gaba, magnesium - sleep aids

maca - preworkout

I know it's a lot, but it's all generally pretty cheap, especially when ordered in bulk, as I do the whey and spirulina.

I'll make a whey shake when I can't get enough meat.

Other than that, Creatine.

The rest of the legal stuff is snake-oil, IMO...

Do you guys actually notice anything taking fish oil? I've taken it for a while but felt no different so I stopped. I was also taking the more expensive high EPA/DHA capsules and still nothing.

The only reason I take the supplements I do is because I notice an effect.

I cover my omega 3s with diet anyway since I love coldwater fish.

No, Im not kidding. Im old and it gets me through my workouts. I dont think I could face one of my cardio workouts without coffee. It also seems to help with weight lifting.

I think it's one of those thing you aren't supposed to feel...but then 20 years down the road, maybe you'll be thankful you took them. I don't know, I remember reading a guys opinion that most people expect miracles from supplements, when the real reason to take them is to prolong good health for as long as possible, not provide immediate changes.

My daily staples: 1 multi, 1 gram C and about 1 gram EPA/DHA.

2-3 days per week: zinc, B complex.
