Summer suit pant length?

Are these pants an appropriate length for a sockless summer suit?

Hi,

I'm trying to go for the look represented here:

http://www.gq.com/style/wear-it-now...tton-suits-under-four-hundred-dollars#slide=1

I ordered a similar suit a week ago or so and it just arrived yesterday:

http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=85424&vid=1&pid=235895002

The jacket fits well but I'm a little concerned about the pants. I ordered 32L in spite of the fact that I'm 6'2" because I like the short sockless look that Mr. GQ is sporting up there. But at the same time, I also don't want to look like a complete tool with pants that are too short.

What do you guys think? Too short or ok?

You will look like a complete tool if you keep trousers that short - no socks is also naff as are most things culled from pages of fashion magazines.

I definitley think those are rockable. I guess it is a matter of taste and style but most of my pants are about that length.

Summer suit - no
Summer casual odd-trousers - if you want

As for going sockless, only with casual odd-trousers (in my opinion); looks silly with suits

I would wear them a bit longer with a more narrow leg opening.

Did a bit more modeling in front of the mirror and have come to the conclusion that basically they are just pants with no break. So, slightly shorter than other pairs that I have, but not completely unacceptable or anything.

Still, I'm thinking that I will exchange for the 34L anyway and just have my tailor take those up a bit to a quarter break. That will probably be safest.

Thanks everyone.

You can wear top sider instead of these shoes and you will be rocking the fashion floor. You can check the beach style preference and they look fabulous.
