Hey everyone!

I am planning on buying a custom tan suit, just a flat color with a slight grain to it and I am wondering if doing a peak lapel is a good idea or not. I would do pic stitching and ticket pocket, but im not sure if a peak lapel would be too much so please give me your input.

I also am wondering what color shirts would look good with a tan suit? Im thinking light pastel colors, but other input is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks for your input and time guys!

light purple would do the trick, even green and cream would be perfect in my opinion. Actually tan suit is like black for me always professional looking and goes well with anything in it.

As long as the peak lapel isn't too large and sharply angled. I tend to think tans look best more 'relaxed': not neccecarally loose fit, but softer tailoring and a more causal vibe. Think a cotton or linen summer suit look, even if you're making it out of wool.

As for shirt, I would avoid white if you're going to take off your jacket. Others may disagree, but I don't think white over tan is a good look at all. Stick to cool pastels. Yellows and pinks, not so much. Cream, blue, green, purple, hell yes. Blue striped oxfords would be great.

I have some dark brown shoes and then a pair of magnannis in like a burgundy color, i was thinking of something lighter, like a caramel color? too light? my buddy just got the santoni morris's and im wondering if those are too light for a tan suit.
