I have searched in the past, but with limited success. I believe I even posted something similar a while back, but I come again to request opinions and ideally some form of aid.

I'm tall, and thin (6'5", 175 lbs, and unfortunately 16X38 shirt size, something around a 40LL, if such a thing exists). I was told, by employees of both Saks and Neiman Marcus that my only real options were either bespoke or mtm (for suits and sportcoats) through one of the companies at either firm.
I tried a variety of makes in 40 or 42L, but nothing seemed to fit correctly, and would apparently be impossible to tailor to the extent needed to make it long enough.
This is obviously somewhat frustrating, given as I am budgeted to some degree. I went through a variety, first based by personal tastes, then by sheer desperation, but without success.
Designers tried unsuccessfully: Armani, Valentino, Zegna, Dolce&Gabanna, RLPL, Etro, Theory

Thus, my question is as follows:
Are there any labels that cut significantly longer and slimmer than the ones mentioned above, or is my only option some form of mtm or bespoke?

thanks
~P

Thanks for the thought, but I think I'd probably still be too wide in the chest.
Are there any makes that cut extremely long and slim that are perhaps off the beaten track?

Paul Stuart makes Extra Tall suits, sometimes they can be found on Ebay or on sale. They fit a tall, slim build pretty well and with a bit of tailoring should be fine for you.
