SF would agree. However, I've seen the bit loafer worn tons with suits on Wall Street. So, contextually, it may be appropriate.
+1 on contextual appropriateness, despite breaking most sartorial rules. Wall Street is not known for dressing well, per se. However, known very well for displaying wealth via status symbols (i.e. Gucci loafers).
