+1 for Stowa
+1 for Sinn, though they are not "dressy"
+1 for used Omega Seamaster
And who really cares if it has brand recognition at that, or any price range. My current collection is diverse and every watch has a purpose.

Not sure if OP is still looking, but if you (or anyone) decide to go the Seiko route, I can highly recommend dealing with Lee Wee Wah in Singapore. His online store is chronograph.com, and I have had numerous flawless transactions purchasing items from him in the past. Prices and services are top notch.
