so as the weather gets warmer i find myself turning to my light khaki (almost stone) cotton suit more and more, and every time i wear it i seem to pick up a stray dirt mark here or there. does anyone here have a solution to this, short of having the suit dry cleaned after every other wearing, which i would really like to avoid? I know there are some guys here who break out their khaki cotton at least once a week, so i'm hoping they will weigh in...

I haven't had a tan cotton suit in years, but used to wear one regularly in the summer. I always found that spot cleaning left a spot. Dry cleaning was the only solution I found.

Spot cleaning left water marks on my khaki suit when I had one years ago. I now have the same problem with a very light gray summer-weight wool suit. It seems that I can't avoid some sort of mark whenever I wear it. I reluctanctly had it dry cleaned, but I don't want to resort to this too often. Spot cleaning doesn't work, unfortunately.
