Hi,

I'm a little clueless when it comes to fashion. I found this site and was hoping to get some help with a style.

I want to put together a basic winter style with jeans + cool belt + sports coat and shirt, something like the style shown below:

http://www.gucci.com/us/us-english/u...o-wear/#169720

now that's gucci and i can't afford that sports jacket, so i'm looking for something similar. I want the sports jacket to be wool and navy... I can't seem to find any cool ones around and the ones that i do find have gold buttons (i'm 26 years old and i don't think gold button will suit me). I'm not sure where to find sport jackets or blazers from... Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can find a style similar to the gucci one?

Do you think it would be ok if i bought a gold button one and had the buttons replaced? Or is the purpose of having the gold buttons to differentiate it from just a normal suit jacket? I'm a bit confused... Also are tweed sports coats cool for my age group? my perception of them is that it's something my dad would wear...

Thanks in advance.

You can find blue sports jackets at topman, zara, h&m to name a few. They will all fit slim and give a nice shilouette. Yes, you can take a jacket and replace the buttons but be sure not to replace them with buttons that will make it look like a suit coat. Your going to want to change the buttons and still maintain its casual appeal. For example, on a blue sports jacket, change the buttons from gold to silver or less flashy brown leather or get crazy and put colored buttons like orange horn. The possibilities are endless. Tweed is fine to wear at your age. The thing that will seperate you from the old geezers is how the jacket fits you. Make sure it is trim and everything fits the way it should.
