Hello! I recently acquired this jacket from Spier and Mackay. I like it, and as you can see it fancies itself "Neopolitan" and has a very generous lapel, between 3 3/4 and 4 inches. I'm a reasonably big guy, six feet tall and over 200 lbs, so it seems to work with my overall body type, but my question is actually about the sense of proportion between the jacket lapel and my shirt collar.
I would typically wear this with either a Brooks Brothers oxford, or an SM oxford. The SM oxfords in particular have a slight roll, they're not super skinny trend collars, but they're also not made with the same showy sensibility that the jacket lapels have.
So, getting to the bottom of it: if you wear an SM "Neo cut" sportcoat or something similar, have you found a more conventional American OCBD to work well with it, or to look way out of balance? I like this jacket but I don't want to buy a whole new shirt wardrobe.
Thanks!
