Crockett and Jones are renowned for their beautifully made, tough as nails boots, and the Islay is one of their most loved models. This was a make-up exclusively for Barneys NY and comes in a handsome dark brown roughout suede that can handle anything the elements throw at you. Retail was $660.

Bought them last year and have worn them approx. twice a week for 8 months, and conditioned with Obenaufs LP which is why they are slightly darker than when they were new. Comes with original shoe...

Those bags look smaller than the boots. Is it just the photo that makes them look that way or do they not fit in the bags?

Can you tell me if these seem to run large for a US 9D?

The boots fit in the bags. It's a close fit, but it fits - they are the bags that came with the shoes, after all. In my personal experience they fit true to size for a 9D with a little room for thicker boot socks.
