Sling Style Backpacks

As much as I like my saddleback briefcase, it is heavy and cumbersome to carry all the time. I was looking for a sling style bag that is more function over style. Not planning on wearing it to the office or meetings, but something I can stick a laptop in (15.6").

Any suggestions? I found this maxpedition bag, wondering what else out there:

Anything that carries over the shoulder will eventually damage your jacket.

This is not something I would wear with a suit. Just need something for days I am riding my bike or when it is raining.
