Also, notice you don't carry a ton of models although you do offer some of the most competitive price out there. Just curious as to why that is. I'm sure if you carried EG in the range of a Unipair or Leffot they would fly out your door given your competitive prices.

We're actually just seeing a positive increase in EG sales, it took a while for people to" find us" I think, and because lead times are about five months for Edward Green it takes a while for us to meet the demand of our clients. We're also a very small store with a limited storage capacity although we are looking for ways to improve this. Our ambition is to become a leading International premium men's shoe store but Rome was not built in a day. We've only been open for business for about 18 months, and our web store for about 3 months, compared to Leffot and Unipair, these guys have been around for 5-6 years.

I want to take the opportunity to thank both our new clients and "old regulars", some of you guys have supported us from day 1 and we're very grateful for your continued support. Please be patient with us, stock levels will improve. And I'm always open to feedback and suggestions, please PM me.

Rosewood is not that red IMO, especially after some wear. It ages extremely well, we were shown a pair of aged Galways in Rosewood on Pitti and it looked absolutely amazing. That was what really made us decide for the Rosewood CC instead of any other material.

The Galway Veldtschoen in Rosewood CC and shearling lining will be the only Galway we stock this coming fall. There are so many suggestions and thoughts about the Galway and which make up would be "the best", and in the end we will go with what we feel is the best option for our store. You can't win them all.

We’re actually slightly more expensive than Edward Green Jermyn Street or if you shop directly with Carmina in their online shop or any of their flagship stores. But Sweden has the highest VAT (a kind of sales tax) in the world, and as you know, this is deducted for all orders outside the European Union. Our business model has always been about competing with great customer care and great models, not through pricing.

Wow, I for one didn't realize how new you guys really were. I think you've come a long way so far, and the new website is definitely a step in the right direction. I've definitely enjoyed doing business with you so far as the shoes and customer service have always been top notch.

You guys seem to be doing a great job tapping into the SF collective mind when it comes to shoe styles - I love the EG burgundy beaulieu's and the Carmina U-Wings look great! I even like the fact that you've offered a brown calf U-wing without the medallion broguing on the toe cap.

I bought my first shoe from SKOAB on your first opening day and my latest shoe (N.B. not last

) yesterday. A total of five pairs has followed me home to date. I live in Sweden so cannot benefit from VAT-deduction, but it is always a great pleasure to visit the store for a chat or a purchase.

i bought my 2nd pair of carminas from these guys at skoak when i live down the street from leatherfoot. Absolutely NOTHING but great things to say about Arne and his team over there, but what they stock and what I was looking for weren't exactly on the same page when it came to carminas. Patrick and Gabe were nothing but great in terms of email response when it came to my gazillion questions about what I wnated to order.

They shipped out fast too. I got the invoice in the morning Eastern time, I got the tracking number after lunch.

Galway Veldtschoen pre-order in Rosewood Country Calf, shearling lined.

We are now taking pre-orders so that clients can book their pair in advance for this special make up. All sizes and widths can be ordered. Delivery is September 2014.
Our version will be made up in the so-called veldtschoen construction and it will be shearling lined. We will use the 64 last and the default width is E (normal width). If you require a different width, please e-mail us and we will arrange for this. We will use a Ridgeway sole for these country boots. The shearling lining is in the vamp and the edges of the shaft only (not the whole shaft).

Leaves, can you confirm the bolded part? I thought Edward Green only had shearling in the shaft of the boots?

Also, how does Edward Green shearling compare with the shearling from Carmina and Enzo Bonafe?

That's good to hear. I think each vendor has their strengths - leatherfoot seems like a great shop and I love the fact that they stock some interesting Saint Crispin's makes, but $1600 shoes aren't in my budget now. Skoak has me sold on their prices but also the brands/styles they offer. Think I might have to pull the trigger on a pair of carminas next
