How awesome is archive.org?

Anyway, in addition to some already mentioned, I'd add The Last Waltz, Derek & The Dominoes Live, Big Brother & The Holding Company Live at Winterland, Live at Leeds, The Keith Jarret solo concerts series recorded in Bremen and Lausanne in 1973, and Van Morrison's Live at the Belfast Opera House. Each captures something of the essence of what makes the artist great. Some of the performances on Woodstock and Monterey Pop would be hard to do without, as well. The Woodstock soundtrack needs to be mentioned for the performance of Ten Years After alone.

I must admit that Aerosmith Live Bootleg was one of my first albums.

If that's ^ your most shameful secret, you're doing ok. I'll always love their version of Train Kept A-Rollin'. The Yardbirds' version is fantastic, too, but Tyler's voice just adds an over-the-top element that's unbeatable.

Bruce Springsteen Live 1975-1985

Also, bootlegs from his Nebraska tour are incredible.

The Daft Punk and Underworld live albums are always the first that come to mind when I think live albums.

Bootsy's Rubber Band 1993 in Japan. It's on DVD and CD. Bootsy with Bernie Worrell, Gary Mudbone Cooper, etc.

G.Clinton and PFonk Allstars at the Live at the Hollywood Bowl. Best rendition of Cosmic Slop ever recorded. Slowed down a half beat for bass empasis. Kidd Funkadelic Hampton lead quitar, Gary Shider vocals and Dennis Chambers drums at their Funky peak!
