Bukit Timah is a great area man. Grab that place now. The salary is a little light, but Singapore is a great local eating (like 4 bucks a plate) place anyhow.

I'd have serious reservations about sending my kids going to a Singaporean state school. They are pretty tough.

I'm having serious reservations about continuing to work in China. The government is ramping up censorship even more, disappearing more people, and will soon be tracking everybody via cell phone. Might go to SG after all...

Singapore state schools are strict, but the education system here is one of the best around.

Weather and humidity here is extremely fucked up though.

they don't cane people for chewing gum, if that's what you mean.

they do focus a lot on academics though - you can consider it a pro or con.
