Does anyone have any knowledge about shopping in Minneapolis?  I'll probably go there next weekend.  I am the kind of people who are much more interested in Alexander McQueen and Bernhard Willhem than in Kiton or Brioni.  Of course I don't expect to find Bernhard Willhelm in Minneapolis, but still would like to know if there's any interesting small boutique other than big conservative stores like Neiman Marcus over there.  Thanks for any help.

I see this thread is from 2005 but just in case someone else stumbles upon it, here goes:

Try Askov Finlayson and Martin Patrick 3 in Minneapolis' north loop area. MP3 has hard-to-find (in the Midwest) brands like Naked & Famous. AF is more lumbersexual, and has their own clothing brand as well as others of quality. Top Shelf in Uptown does bespoke suits and shirts; Phenom, also in Uptown, has streetwear. For classic menswear, try Heimie's Haberdashery in downtown St. Paul. I haven't shopped at BlackBlue in St. Paul, but their site shows denim, flannel and boots, great for a Minnesota winter.

That should hold you for awhile.
