alright, I'm like 5'11 and 135 lbs and its really hard to find shirts that fit me. Everything i really find is shirts for people bigger people, like the waist is huge and i need it to fit me and not be all loose and gay.
I want the waist to fit me and be kinda long but not like a tall tee.
If anyone can help me out that would be amazing.

Give up. That's what I did. You won't find anything in shops that fits well.

The solution is getting shirts made according to your measurements. Where do you live? Other forum members can probably point you in the direction of a local tailor. This approach is more expensive than buying ill-fitting shirts off the rack, but is worth every cent.

I'm tall and skinny, and Uniqlo's shirts don't fit. I tend to buy their size smalls for casual wear and roll the sleeves and don't wear a tie. The small fits my shoulders and torso, but arms are too short and collar too tight. I'd recommend an on-line tailor like my tailor http://www.tailorstore.co.uk/ It will take a few tries to get your measurements right so start with the cheapest options and use them to experiment with the fit. Start with a shirt you own that fits you best, take very careful measurements of that and add a little to the sleeve length / take a bit off the chest measurement or whatever you need and see how that goes.

It's not tall, but 135 lbs is alarmingly light for an adult male with a height of 5'11". Judging by the way he writes and his screen name that implies 1991 as his birth year, he's 18 and hasn't grown into his body (or style) yet. Online made-to-measure is probably your best bet man. And do some pushups!

I am 30 and about the same size as you bro, and ive worked out and consumed protein shakes like crazy and most i ever hit was 144lbs. Ive spent so much money trying different brands to find something that fits well. If you are 18 i would stay away from MTM until you can really afford, it can become very expensive very fast. Unless you have the money to burn.

Try these that fit pretty well for our size:

Hugo Boss black label (i dont buy these anymore, hit or miss on fit)
TM Lewin Windsor Slim Fit ($35 per shirt and fits pretty damned well)

MTM: I have had shirts made by Freddy, CEGO and Michael Sahi. Freddy & CEGO are my favorites. Freddy is $165 per shirt and no min and is in Sherman Oaks, CA. CEGO ranges from $95-$400 depending on the fabric, he is in NY. Michael Sahi is good, but you have to tell him exactly what you want, and you can get discounts on bulk orders.

Let me know if you have any more questions. Hope this helps you.

I'm not terribly thin, but I do find it hard to find shirts that fit. My trick is to get shirts from thrifts stores (Brooks Bros., Polo, etc.) and take them to a tailor/dry cleaner. They'll take them in at the sides, the sleeves, and put in two darts in the back. It can cost anywhere from 25 to 55 for a completed shirt, depending on who does the alterations, but I'm left with a shirt that fits well.

Same problem here, I am tall (7') and skinny (210).

I have never been to a tailor but can they tailor casual buttondown shirts?
