Shell Cordovan Check. Please View and Opine

I sold a pair of Florsheim Longwings on eBay. I sold them as shell cordovan, and the buyer is claiming that they are corrected grain. Please take a look at these pics and opine as to the leather.

Those are 100% shell cordovan.

Unquestionably shell. Just look at how they crease, it's a dead giveaway.

Honestly I don't see anything conclusive either way.

The crease is not that obvious. Very hard to tell. I have a pair of AE corrected grain and they look very similar..

To all folks who don't think this is shell: please look at the rippling near the eyelets. Then show me a leather apart from shell that does this.

Shell without a doubt. I have the same shoe and as stated above, look at the rippling around the eyelets.

Florsheim shell is pretty shiny. These have never been polished. It is slightly different than the current stuff used by Alden & AE.

Unless I am mistaken corrected grain wrinkles--usually worse than calf so since these have seen some use (judging by the soles) and they are not showing any signs of wrinkles I would have to say they are shell.

I think you know they are shell yourself so I am wondering why this thread is here. Is the buyer from the forum and is reading the thread or has he agreed to abide by the general consensus of forum participants?
