I received a super rare bottle of Champagne as gift from a business associate. I don't collect Champagne, any advice on where to sell this bottle? They are retailing from 750-1500 on the internets.

Aren't you even a little curious what a rare bottle of champagne tastes like?

I have had some rarest Champagne on the market before, I was invited to a private dinner at the Moet Chateau last year and had a private tasting of variety from their cellars - most amazing dinner of my life.

I would rather have a few bottles of wine for my collection - a Chateau Haut Brion, a Chateau d'Yquem, for example, than one bottle of Krug, amazing Krug, but Krug nonetheless.

So what is it pls?

96 Krug? A great wine (just bought a case --> I am still drinking the 1976s whuich are now unbelievable!)...stands tall in the company of the great wines of the world like LaLas, DRC, Leroy, 1st Growths, Ausone, Cheval Blanc, Petrus, Vega Sicilia, Grange, d'Yquem, etc.

Ditto on WineCommune, though I think you may have issues depending on where you live. You're on the right track, sell that stuff with the nasty bubbles mucking it up and go for the Bordeaux and Sauternes. Those 2 account for 85% of my cellar.

I have been on a Pinot Noir jag lately. Just dropped a few k on Loring, Siduri, and Martinelli, as their mailing lists just came out. I just hate how Martinelli bundles its hostage wines though...a c-note for a Zin? Geez.
