Can you let me know the model number of the IHxSE jean which fits you well? If you can't find it on the jean you can look it up in your order history on our site or email us with you full name and we can look it up.

I found one Iron Heart from 2018 in my online orders but it says 17oz not 18 and it doesn't say IHXSE. It is the 301N from order #61381 so it must be it.

Most other size 36 that I have are too big in the waste and 34 are too small or too small in the thighs. I don't know if this pair is a fluke but the waste fits perfectly.

The 301 fit is no longer made, but if you want something that's still tapered but more comfortable I would try the 633:

Thanks. I have a couple pairs of PBJ which I like but the waist is a bit too large so I have to cinch it down with a belt, which is not preferable and make it hard to wear with tuck-in shirts. I'm afraid to go to 34 in case they don't fit. If only they made a 35.

Leg opening says 9.5" which seems very wide to me but the photos on the model look fairly proportional. Can you confirm that number is right?

That number is correct, it's how wide an original 501 jean's leg opening would be from the late 40's.

Yes, black version we get every 3 months, but normally they sell out within 3 to 5 days.. next restock is in November.

This is more like what I was thinking, after all. I popped into the LA shop this afternoon and ended up buying the updated “2021” version. Super thankful for everyone’s help in there. Couldn’t have asked for friendlier folks to help me find the right fit. 🤙
