I was flipping through the new yorker and came across this:

1/20-1/28 Seize sur Vingt's handmade suits (from $200), dress shirts ($60 to $80), and sweaters (from $60) are on sale. 267 Elizabeth St., nr. Prince St. (212-343-0007); 11-7.

I've always wanted to pick up one of their shirts but I wont be prepared to head up to ny till feb. Enjoy...

Thanks. It was already in the "NYC Sales" thread. Check there if you want to be ahead of the game, it's super-useful...

ha I found it a few minutes after I posted. I'm debated going up to new york for the sale but... dunno whether to spend the cash ($~200) on acessories (ties, scarves) instead.

Jodum5, you might look for reviews of the sale.

Their sales can be hit and miss. In the old days (i.e., 3 or 4 years ago), they were great and true samples sales with some very good bargains. Then the brand became quite popular and very picked over. As they have expanded their production, the last sale or two has had a fairly decent range of stock -- I'd say a handful of custom work that was abandoned, a few sample jackets (maybe 10), a few end of run shirts (maybe 25), many trousers and shorts, and a few shoes. I wouldn't come up to NYC just for it unless you're a Seize Sur Vingt fanatic or its part of a bigger trip.

Mr. Magoo, thanks. Dropping by there would be part of a bigger trip, but I may postpone for another week though.
