I'm just looking for the thread because I don't know how to find it now but there was a thread with people talking about how Levi changed the 501 last year.. and also how to tell if the 501s you have are the new style or not, can anyone point me to it?

1) This site will not let you search for 501s (ok so google will but still, see #2)

2) I have no idea what else to search for for that specific topic

People asking people is sometimes a much better option since google isn't alive, it can't know the exact thing you're looking for.

It's not like this topic takes up any valuable resource

Howdy fedora. First off, welcome to the forum. Second, you are going to have to stop making a new thread for each question that is easily searchable. Just imagine if every member made a new thread for every quetion they had? it would be a ******* mess around here. In the future, search... and if not found, use the "quick quesiton" or "newb jeans" pinned thread at the top.

He's got a point

the forum ignores every search term that is 3 letters or less which makes it hard to search for a lot of things (since everyone here likes 3 letter abbreviations or companies with 3 letter names).

Maybe that limit could be brought down to 2 letters?

That's why you use google search... not all that hard to do Step 1: go to www.google.com Step 2: enter search query (in quotes if you know the exact wording) Step 3: add "site:styleforum.net" to the end of the query Step 4: hit enter or click search Step 5: ??? Step 6: profit

"*" is your friend! Search "501*" "32**" "ns**" etc.
