Several people mentioned to me that they are following up with Horace to get some MTM shirts. We were all given complimentary multi-colored silk knot cuff links.

As far as the setting, it was just the right right size for 20 or so and ideal for mingling and talking. It was also nice to meet a number of new SF members from the Bay Area.

I was quite disappointed that Label King did not wear his cape. But he made up for it with his suede trench coat and cowboy hat.

And I don't think anybody purchased anything. I was tempted but my phenomenal cheapness prevented me from buying a shirt for $500 or a pocketsquare for $135.

Wow, so lots more regulars than lurkers - nice!

Wow, how did you say no to those deals?

You mean no one elbowed you in the face and branded you with the SF logo? That's what they usually do to the new guys they like.

It hurt a little when they tatooed the SF logo on my scrotum. Other than that it was a breeze.

I think this is true. But my guess is that they will only get better. We did miss you.

I'm looking forward to the pictures too if anyone has them.

A pleasure meeting everyone from another "new guy".
As expected, Horace was a gracious and interesting host.
(Besides, he complimented me in my jacket). It is comforting
to know that there are other fellow clothing-maniacs who
are content to spend a weekday evening discussing Wilkes'
financial travails among other sartorial issues. I look forward
the next meet-up.

I'm still anxiously awaiting the Milwaukee gathering. What shoes go best with bratwurst?
