Hi all,

Either I'm terrible at using the search function or I just couldn't find anything (recent at least) but I'm looking to get a suit for my best friend. He's getting married in November and we need to make him look fly.

I've contacted a few shops in SF - one of whom looks to be really good - Beckett and Robb.

They're the ones that I've gotten a somewhat reasonable price for a suit - they quoted me ~$1000 for a navy suit.

That's on the upper range (maybe a little more) of what we're willing to go for so does anyone else have any recommendations? I'm open to SF/East Bay/San Jose.

Beckett and Robb is not bespoke.
It is MTM.

Try Spoon Tailor in San Francisco.

Several SF members seem to be satisfied with Spoon Tailors.
I have the opposite impression. About two years ago I wandered in there
when I happened to be in the neighborhood. I asked about having them
make a tweed sport coat . The response: "We don't do tweed". So I asked,
what if I brought my own fabric? The response: "We only work with our
own fabric:" When I was there someone was being fitted with a very generic
suit that looked like it came from Nordstrom's. That could heve been the customer's
preference, but it didn't look special.

Thanks for that input! I'll check them out and see what they offer but I'm really leaning toward Beckett and Robb.

VZ Exclusive has an entry-level $1000 full bespoke suit, made in Hong Kong but Ezra is based in Bay Area, USA. Using him for my wedding tuxedo and another suit.
