Long time viewer of this forum but first time poster.... Im getting married in August and I have been searching for a tuxedo for months. I found a beautiful Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo at Saks and they have the same one at Barneys for about 2k. Are there any Sales Associates that work at either store or is there anyone that knows of an upcoming sales or events where I might be able to save a little bit of $ on the tux? Im going to get it no matter what but im would like to save a few bucks on it if I can. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

Do Isaia suits get marked down significantly during the Warehouse sale? I'm in the market for one (any 42S out there for sale?

Barney's deepest cuts seem to be in their Caruso made Barney's line and the odd Kiton they have left. Although Isaia and Battistoni do get reasonable markdowns.

My experience is that tuxedos mostly go on sale only in January - after the big black tie / holliday season is over. I'm sure both Saks and Barneys will have a sale before your wedding, but I'd bet the tuxedo won't be included in it.

Last time I was at Barney's a couple of weeks ago they had a few tux's on sale up on 7. Just a small selection - not their entire collection. Occasionally Bloomingdales places their Cornelianni and Canali tux's on sale as well (upwards of 40% off). Also check out Century 21.

Thanks for the input everyone, its been helpful. I called the local Barneys and asked if the tux was included in the current sale and they said it was not. Im getting to have to become fast friends with a SA at Saks or Barneys really quickly...haha.

This is the tuxedo that I have been referencing just in case anyone was curious.
