I’ve scored a few pair recently but all the labels are a little different: Rota, Rotasport, Rota Sartiorale, etc. Is there a method here or at any given time are they just labelled differently?

Rota has two line: regular and Rotasport. Sport is labeled Rotasport and everything else could be called ”normal” – these include both those tagged Rota Sartoriale and just Rota. Both are made in the same factory by the same company, obviously. The difference is that Rotasport can be machine washed (different/no waistband canvas etc.) and is a lot of the times also garment dyed. Their ”regular” line contains all the wools, usually fancier cottons and is overall more ”tailored”. Also recommended to be dry cleaned.
