Removal of texta line from label?

I bought an item off eBay and it has a red texta line through the label (a sale item no doubt.).

I took it to a dry cleaner and they said they could not remove texta marks.

Does anyone know how to remove these marks? Can I do it myself or should I seek out a professional tailor and / or upmarket bridal dry cleaner to get it off?

Any suggestions appreciated. TIA

Acetone will get the stuff out to a large degree. Careful though. It *will* dry out the material. Or just be a rebel and cut the label out.
