Brightons make first appearance since spring, I think. Appreciating the solidity of the build and also that they’re noticeably warmer than some of my other boots. Temperatures in the teens, Fahrenheit, this morning.

I got my unlined navy shell Ranger Mocs with the new “Caliber” sole this past weekend. When I first place the order, I originally specified blind eyelets and matching stitching but after thinking about it for a couple days decided I’d rather have the brass eyelets and contrasting tan stitching as I thought that would work nicely with the more casual sole.

I swapped out Rancourt’s crappy laces for some flat waxed laces from a pair of Alden and I’m in love. These are perfect for the fall!

So, these ranger mocs just about have my feet broken in. After 11 hours of continuous wear & quite a bit of walking, my feet hurt like hell! In hind sight, I should have worn these more before taking them on a trip. By the end of the trip, they will be like slippers.

Here's some shots from today...

Considering a pair of rancourt shell cordovan oxfords. Wondering how they age and wear. Any pictures out there?

Gentlemen, I am excited to present to you my latest from our friends in Lewiston, Maine. I called and asked to see if they could do some Marbled Black Shell Cordovan for me and they happened to have recently received a sample of it from Horween, so they just had some sitting around. I excitedly pulled the trigger and gave them the generic guidance that I wanted the lighter on top and they ran with it... Without further ado, I am pleased to share with you, the Rancourt Penny Pinch Loafer in Marbled Black Shell Cordovan.

It has some really interesting tones to it and definitely has a greenish-blue hue to them overall. The bursts of brown are really pretty and even nicer looking in person. I did them with the Natural Edges and their Wheeled Welt on the older Rugby Outsole and Key Heel. Just spectacular work from my friends at Rancourt.

Rancourt uses horween shell so it should age and wear like AE, Alden and the other brands that do the same

Anyone own a pair of the court classics sneakers? I noticed huckberryhad a few colors on sale. Contemplating grabbing the natural cxl ones. How comfy r they and are they worth the $185 price ?
