The Skye 3 boots arrived and they are amazing!! Color on these boots is really nice.
Seeing these in person I definitely made the right choice :)

Yes these are quite the pair of boots. I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to get a pair. I’ve had them in my screen saver photos, ever since I first saw them when I visited the factory a few years ago.

@saurabh oh yeah, I know I promised to take photos and show them to you, of those Carmina alligator boots when I finally wore them. I did get around to wearing them to an event last Christmas, but I have to admit I didn’t get any images of them on foot...sorry. They fit amazingly well by the way, and wowed quite a few folks that night, even though they are quite understated in my opinion, as far as gator boots go.

that’s great that you got the chance to wear them and agree these are not loud by any means. I haven’t got a chance even now to wear them. But I know that will be happening soon!!

So, they ended up finding an untried on pair. So i have a pair of Hand-Grade Grosvenor delivering to my door, direct mail order from UK.
Price charged to card - $594, sans VAT, including delivery.
C+J US Website list price - $950, not including tax and delivery.

The New York store has just evolved into a try on department on future business trips, rather than an actual point of sale.

The amount of money I have essentially thrown into a fireplace staggers me.

What I get for not reading all 1000+ pages of every SF post!
Ha ha ... I'd say my experience has been the opposite. I spend way too much time on SF, specifically shoe/boot threads. Daily dose of shoeporn and staying updated on how to save $ (i.e. knowing which retailer or maker is running promo), has done anything but save me money.

This right here is the pair that got me hooked on Russian grain leather. Seeing @nishant and @caffed's IG posts just reinforced the "need". The Radnor is also my first pair of boots with Ridgeway soles, so one more thing to look forward to.
They are great boots indeed ?
